BACHELOR’S DEGREE FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

A bachelors degree is a four-year post-secondary undergraduate degree designed for secondary school graduates who want to get higher education in a particular field of study.

A bachelor’s degree is a valuable credential that can lead and help a student qualify for a wide range of entry-level employment positions in many fields. Getting a bachelors degree can be the ticket to a more promising career, this means that a student needs a bachelors degree before enrolling in a master’s program to open the door to more career opportunities.

The different types of bachelor’s degrees are BA (Bachelors of Arts), BSc (Bachelors of Science), BEng (Bachelor of Engineering), BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts). There are bachelor’s degree programs in a wide variety of majors, including STEM subjects, social sciences, arts, and all types of specific subjects.

There are programs to meet almost any criteria, so students are advised to make their research and find the best one for their situation.

However, our counsellors are always available to help students who want to study in Ireland make the right decisions for their Bachelor degree studies and put them through the foundation programme.

WHAT IS A FOUNDATION PROGRAMME

A foundation programme are courses set aside for prospective study abroad students who wish to study undergraduate degrees at universities but require a preparatory course to meet the undergraduate eligibility requirements.

A foundation programme in Ireland is a one year programme suitable for International students who do not hold qualifications equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate.  An international student who wishes to study for a bachelor’s degree in Ireland is required to take the one-year foundations programme. During the foundation programme, International students are given a supportive environment to ensure they get the most from their studies and are well prepared to succeed in their chosen bachelor’s degree programme.

Studying abroad requires international students to be fully prepared for their future career studies this is why accredited universities in Ireland are providing foundation programmes to help international students to close the gap and prepare for their future dream studies.

The programme is specifically for students who have the drive and ambition to attend a world-class educational institute but cannot directly begin their bachelor’s degree.

The general requirements for a student to study a foundation programme in Ireland are:

The desired level of English proficiency for IELTS is a minimum score of 4.5- 5.0
